The film is set in the same universe as the hit Train to Busan , the Korean phenomenon that was a breath of fresh air with its understated, melodramatic but fast-paced twist. However, it is difficult to really talk about a sequel in the case of Peninsula , as director Sang-Ho Yeon chooses to focus on different characters. And it is not the only thing that changes radically. If you want to watch more Movie please Visit this Website: uwatchfree Movie

Here we are four years after the outbreak of infected and / or zombies that devastated the Korean peninsula. Cities have been razed to the ground, authorities and government representatives have been disempowered, and cannibalistic mayhem is on the loose. In this context, a former soldier who managed to escape finds himself in the situation of going back to hell to carry out a secret mission .

There, you’ll find a new society formed alongside the undead, and even harnessing some of them to create a twisted form of entertainment. There are also other survivors on the fringes of all that, trying to cope. A really nihilistic and dystopian vision of the future, which is quite a radical evolution from the previous film , which seems more contained in comparison.

It is not the only change that awaited the fans. Inspired by relatively belated and wacky sequels like Aliens, Homecoming and Mad Max: Fury Road , which continued the phenomena that preceded them by plunging headlong into wild but festive as well as well-used action, Peninsula is unleashed in that same direction. Yeon goes for a series of central action sequences that are as crazy as they are fun .

He has a very particular sense of humor, which is more about creating crazy situations than throwing jokes. And those situations are also charged with a very energetic and well planned action, which is quite an adrenaline shot . And in the center of the story there is also an emotional story with a lot of melodrama, although it is somewhat more functional than in Train to Busan .

His use of zombies is also brimming with ingenuity and a desire to make a show that is fun as well as mind-blowing. And he pulls it off, even without the hefty budgets of a major Hollywood production on his hands. You can tell he has more at his disposal than with the previous film, but it’s still a relatively modest film. But it is very successful in what it proposes and proposes, and for this reason it is worth giving it a try .

You can watch Peninsula on Amazon Prime Video.
