In comparison to glycolysis, where blood glucose supplies the majority of the energy, ketosis is a metabolic condition in which the majority of the body’s energy derives from ketone bodies. Ketosis is described by ketone body concentrations in the blood exceeding 0.5 millimolar, as well as low and balanced insulin and blood glucose levels. Ketosis can be triggered even when blood glucose levels are elevated, thanks to ketone supplementation (which you’ll read about later in this article).
Keto-adaptation, also known as “becoming a fat-burning machine,” happens when the metabolism shifts to depend on fat-based sources of energy rather than glucose (sugar) sources. Fat oxidation is increased, and fats are broken down into ketones, which are used as the source of energy. This method will take two weeks to six months to completely train your system, depending on your current carbohydrate consumption (it takes more time if you’re a sugar addict), but once over, it’s finished, and you’ve reached fat-burning status that will last a lifetime.
To be honest, the effects of my journey into ketosis and subsequent keto-adaptation were amazing. I had my best Ironman triathlon experience ever, with incredible mental focus and physiological ease, particularly during races and workouts lasting more than two hours. I discovered that I could go a whole day without eating without experiencing muscle weakness, hunger pangs, or brain fog, which was extremely beneficial for business and personal efficiency. My gas, constipation, oxidation, and other GI “problems” vanished. Inflammatory indicators such as HS-CRP and cytokines fell to dangerously low levels in the blood, whereas healthy cholesterol, vitamin D, and anti-inflammatory fatty acids shot through the roof.
Putting All Together
PRUVIT KETO/OS has some adverse effects, however they are mild and almost similar to the flu-like symptoms that some people encounter during their first week on the keto diet. By consuming more water and replenishing with sodium, potassium, and magnesium, or simply decreasing the dosage, the side effects of KETO/OS can be effectively minimized.
The advantages of KETONES (CETONAS), on the other hand, are much more certain than the risks. But there is currently no research on KETO/OS and just one clinical study on ketone salt supplementation.
To decide whether KETO/OS is successful, we must combine human data on the ketogenic diet with results from studies in which rats were given exogenous ketones.
We can infer from this that the PRUVIT ketogenic diet is more likely to have positive benefits than ketones (although exogenous ketones may have some benefits). Exogenous ketones, such as KETO/OS, are also expected to have the best results when used in combination with the keto diet.
For those considering supplementing with a KETO/OS item, it’s important to know that although each one can increase ketone levels, KETO/OS 2.1 will have the most ketone enhancing value for those who are reducing their carb intake or already adopting a ketogenic diet.
If you augment with KETO/OS, MCT oil, or another ketone-boosting medication, please remember that it will not supply you with any of the benefits that the keto diet can provide.
