Agni College of Technology Chennai was established in the year 2001 by Sri Balaji Charitable and Educational Trust with the objective of producing high quality engineers and technocrats. The board members of the trust hail from a diverse portfolio of Real Estate, Education, Advertising, Importing, Logistics, Legal service, Energy, Sports and more.
Skilling India Workshop is a career guidance program conducted by Agni College of Technology in association with Agni Foundation and Kalvi TV. It is to guide high school students and create awareness about the various streams of higher education available for them to pursue after school. It has reached more than 15,000 students from December 2020 to January 2021 covering over 15 districts of Tamil Nadu. Skilling India is also a platform to nurture the Entrepreneurial spirit of the skilled youth of India.

The management has also taken all efforts to build a team of committed faculty members, who form an integral part in the growth and development of the college.
