– DH Implant Prosthetic Procedures

This is the step-by-step process of restoring a dental implant using various abutments, impression components, and healing elements. Below is a breakdown of each stage and its significance in implant prosthetic procedures.

– Abutment Selection

The temporary abutments (hex & non-hex) serve as provisional restorations before the final prosthetic placement. The cemented abutments are preferred when using cement retention instead of screw retention. The angled abutments help correct implant alignment, while the milling abutments are custom-milled for a precise fit and optimal esthetics.

– Lab Analog

The lab analog replicates the implant’s position and orientation in a physical or digital model, ensuring accurate prosthetic fabrication.

– Impression Coping (For Capturing Implant Position)

Two types of impression copings are used to accurately transfer the implant position to a model. The pick-up impression coping (Hex & Non-Hex) is used for open-tray impression techniques, while the transfer impression coping (Hex & Non-Hex) is used for closed-tray techniques, where the coping is removed after the impression is taken.

– Healing Components

The cover screw protects the implant during the initial healing phase, while the healing abutment shapes the gum tissue around the implant site before the final prosthetic is placed.

– DH Implant Fixture (Base of the System)

The DH implant is a surgically placed component that serves as the foundation for all prosthetic elements and supports the final restoration.
