The poem Beauty and the Beast is all about first knowing Jesus, and gradually it turns into a dark tale of romance.
Two other poems were The Boat Race and Origami Friend. The first one explains the experience of the brother of the author. He is a professional rower, and he started his career as a rower in the Oxford Cambridge boat race. The author watched his performance as a family in 2010, and the experience of the event is documented in the poem. Especially, the author mentions the two green parakeets flying together at the end of the race. Another poem named Origami friend is about her passion for origami as a hobby. The author mentions how she used to take various papers to create designs. About the illustrations for this particular poem, she said that the dog mentioned in the picture is a concept derived from the real dog named Lily.
Another poem, Spring Time, talks about celebrating the spring season as a refreshing observational number.
