Finally, they investigated and found the connection between the illegal subtraction of valuable fossils from the same springs and caverns where the diver went missing. Later, it was revealed that an energy company named Race Energy was involved in the case. The company was run by famous billionaire Derrick Rarian. Maro and Epiphany have previously investigated the area while investigating the stolen art issue in the international black market. However, they continued the investigation to find the missing person.
The setting of the village Watoolahatchee is inspired by the interesting place of Cassadaga in Florida. Cassadaga has been popular as the home to the “mediums.” They are the oldest Spiritualist community in the Southeast. Cassadaga got a name- “the psychic capital of the world.” The author Malory O’Connor has been visiting and working on her research works there since 1980.
