The legendary line of hybrids and electric cars received very timely updates in 2022. Updates have affected the design and specifications, as well as battery capacity.
Hyundai Ioniq
The exterior has become more expressive due to new optics and front grille. The already familiar horizontal stripes have been replaced by a large faceted ornament. Despite the changes of the battery, the engine remains the same – only 134 hp.
Hybrid versions of the Ioniq are equipped with a 1.6 liter gasoline engine with four cylinders and 104 “horses” in terms of power. Depending on a complete set this engine is combined with 43 or 60 hp electric motors. Hybrid versions have a battery of 15.6 kWh, providing about 52 km of cruising range.
The hybrids will appear on the European market in mid-September, while the start of sales in Russia of the electric version is planned for September 2022.

Hyundai Palisade
The new Hyundai Palisade flagship model is a full-size SUV from the premium segment that combines a rich design, advanced technological solutions and perfect space ergonomics. The most important factors in the development were considered the maximum comfort and safety, so the model is suitable for both the bustle of the city, and for a comfortable trip out of town in a big company.
In terms of design the manufacturer relied on brutality and monumentality. Wheel arches, strict outlines of the roof and complex in terms of architecture front bumper create a full harmonious image of a sports “beauty”. The Palisade’s interior is spacious and thoughtful, providing a comfortable environment for all passengers and the driver. The dashboard is a 12.3-inch display and the infotainment system is 10.25 inches. The trunk has a capacity of 510 liters, but if you fold down the third row of seats, the volume increases to 1,297 liters.
The new flagship comes with two engines:
A 3.8-liter gasoline engine with 291 horsepower.
A 2.2 liter turbodiesel, which generates 200 hp.
Both versions are combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The classic gear lever is replaced by a remote control. Sales of the car will start in mid-2022.
Hyundai Sonata.
This year the Sonata has already got the 8th generation. The Koreans made life easy for Russian buyers just in time for the release of the new model on the market.
