As a result, The Japanese Knotweed Agency is offering an education and eradication program for Japanese knotweed in the UK, using a non-chemical Thermo-Electrical treatment using RootWave technology. The treatment applies up to 5000 volts directly to the weed, destroying its cell structure and making it unable to grow, without requiring removal.
