Documents Required

- Original passport with a minimum of six months validity and at least two blank pages for stamping. It is better to carry a copy of the first and last pages of the passport too.
- Two recent passport size photographs against a white background.
- A UAE residence visa with at least 90 days validity.
- A copy of your Emirates ID.
- Attested copy of bank statements for last six months or original bank statements.
- A NOC letter from your company or sponsor.
- Proof of accommodation such as hotel booking vouchers, or an invitation letter by the host in case staying with relative/friend, etc.
- Travel insurance to cover accidents, illnesses, or any other medical emergencies.
- Onward and return journey flight tickets.
- A letter stating the purpose of your visit and itinerary.

Steps to Apply for a Germany visa
The following steps must be followed to apply for a Germany visa from Dubai.
- Applicant must visit the Germany Visa Application Centre in Abu Dhabi or Dubai on the day of the appointment in person. (Please note that the Visa Application Centre in Abu Dhabi will only accept applications from persons holding residence visas issued by the Emirate of Al Ain and Abu Dhabi. Persons holding residence visas issued by the Emirates of Dubai / Sharjah / Ras Al Khaimah / Ajman / Fujairah /Umm Al-Quwain/ would have to submit their applications to the Visa Application Centre in Dubai.
- Download the application form and fill it with all the correct information, print, and sign.
- You have to book an appointment at the Visa Application Centre to submit all your documents for a Germany visa. Visa applications are accepted only if you book an appointment in advance.
- Take a printout of the email confirmation you will receive once you book an appointment.
- On the day of the appointment, carry all the essential documents with you along with the application form and confirmation printout.
- Submit all the necessary documents.
- Your passport, application form, and documents will be held by the application center temporarily.
- You will receive a printed copy of your application form after verification. Ensure that all the details are correct, and then sign the form.
- Pay the visa fees and collect the payment receipt. Please keep it safe as this will be required to retrieve your passport after visa stamping.
- After the application has been completed, proceed to the biometric collection room to submit your biometrics and fingers scan.

- Collect your passport with the stamped visa once ready.
Duration
Once your application form is accepted, it usually takes around 10-15 working days to process your visa.

- Citizens of the UAE do not require a Germany tourist visa for a stay of up to 90 days (also known as a short-stay visa). But if you are planning to stay longer, you need to apply for a long-stay visa.
- Each individual has to make a separate appointment and submit a separate application.
- Visa application fees are not refunded under any circumstances.
- The European Commission has already adopted the Electronic Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS). UAE nationals will have to obtain this to be permitted to enter the Schengen Zone w.e.f January 2021.
