Hide the presents
The most exciting thing for kids on Christmas is to find the gifts and knowing every nook and cranny in the house, it will take them a few minutes to find them if you don’t have a super-secret spot in your house. In case you don’t have one, make sure to stash the gifts at an off-site location.
Get the children to bed
Ensure to read your little munchkins ‘The Polar Express’ or ‘The Night Before Christmas’ before tucking them into bed. Being excited thinking what they are going to get, they hardly sleep. To be double sure that they doze off so that you can get to work, tell them that Santa has a sleep detector and he will come to home only when they promise to be good children and go to sleep.
Place the gifts under the tree, fill the stockings
Once you are done with everything, try to wrap all the presents before Christmas eve so that the only thing you have to do that night is put them under the tree. Hide the stocking goodies along with the big presents.
Leave evidence of the visit
See to it that as Santa you leave plenty of evidence of ‘’the visit’’ for your children. Drink the milk, eat some cookies, leaving some half-eaten on the plate and leave some soot boot prints on the carpet as well!
