Introduction:
We are leading manufacturer, supplier and exporter of high quality Globe Valves in India. Make of components used for Globe Valves are oil, gas, power, chemical and petrochemical industries. We are offer a wide range of globe valves that are design and manufacturing to meet the diverse requirements of various industries. Globe valves are one of our most popular products for controlling and directing liquid flow in a specified direction.
Globe Valves are also known as throttle valves when they are used for throttling purposes. Globe Valve’s bodies’ selection materials are typically select of cast iron or bronze/brass in law pressure applications and forged carbon steel or stainless steel for higher temperatures and pressures.
The flow of fluids in a pipeline can be stopped and/or controlled with the use of a globe valve. It functions by stopping a fluid’s flow through a pipe. Due to the cylindrical shape of the valve, it was given the name globe. Within the globe valve, there are typically two body portions that are divided by an internal baffle. A piston or disc obdurate forms a seal against a circular orifice in a globe valve that typically has its axis at right angles to the pipe axis.
Globe valves are mainly utilized when the commodity needs to be throttled. The commodities flow rate through the valve can be changed to any desired level by simply turning the hand wheel. A crucial characteristic of the globe valve is that the valve seat must be parallel to the direction of flow. The globe valve is effective at throttling commodities thanks to this feature, which also results in low disc and seat degradation.
Types of Globe Valves:
- Z Types: Z Types are also known as straight through globe valves, is the simplest globe valve body. Z Type is commonly used for water applications. It has a Z shaped diaphragm or partition across the globular body which contains the seat.
- Y Types: Y Types are design reduces the flow resistance of the globe valves to a minimum. Y Type body globe valves are commonly used for water distribution, HVAC, and process piping systems.
- Angle Types: Pipeline fluid flow is controlled by angle-type globe valves. This valve is available with many disk designs, including ball, composition, and plug disks. An altered globe valve with an outlet and inlet that are at right angles to one another is called an angle globe valve.
Benefits of Globe Valves:
- Easy to machine or resurface the seats.
- Shorter stroke
- Available in tee, wyes, and angle patterns, each offering unique capabilities.
- With disc not attached to the stem, valve can be used as a stop-check valve.
- Good shutoff capability.
- Moderate to good throttling capability.
