Personalized Genetic Testing Lab in India

DNA Genetic Testing Lab in Delhi NCR

DNA testing laboratories in Delhi is of immense help to the DNA analysts and lawyers who have to argue in court cases dealing with DNA based forensic evidence. DNA testing helps in establishing identity of a DNA donor. DNA testing is now commonly used by crime scene investigators to determine DNA relationship among unknown suspects. DNA evidence can also be useful in determining a child’s sire and mother by DNA testing. DNA testing is now a part of crime scene investigations. DNA test results help to prove or disprove paternity.

Recently, another study from Autism Genetic Research Institute explored genetic overlap (a genetic feature that is shared by two individuals who share the disease) for six different eating disorders. These were bulimia nervosa, binge eating, laxative use, obesity, osteoporosis, and hoarding. Across all six disorders, the heritability was high (100%) and additive (additive genetic effects). In terms of treatment, significantly, there was a higher prevalence of treatments that had higher heritability (i.e., more genetically specific treatments).

With this new information on a biological perspective of obesity, researchers and practitioners are able to better understand and target specific treatments specifically for the disorder. A recent study published in the Genetic Medicine Reviews emphasizes that specific interventions for patients with childhood and adolescent obesity requires an integrated approach. This is because some of the risk factors for obesity can run in families and be exacerbated by current family dysfunction. Additionally, some environmental factors may be important contributors to obesity and related disorders. Thus, addressing all the risk factors in addition to promoting healthy diet and exercise and avoiding potential environmental factors can be effective.

Lastly, research on genetic studies demonstrate that there is a genetic component to eating disorder outcomes, but that it may not be passed down strictly through genetics. In addition, environmental factors such as heredity and the menstrual cycle can also contribute to how individuals experience disordered eating. Finally, while research has shown that there is a genetic component to these disorders, there are several environmental and life events that can precipitate an onset of an eating disorder. Therefore, there is no one single solution that will treat all patients with an eating disorder. However, by identifying and treating the individual’s underlying mental, physical, and emotional dynamics, many of these disorders can be effectively treated.

DNA testing has now become a part of crime scene investigation and DNA testing is performed on the scene of a crime. DNA testing helps to determine if the DNA found on a person is his/her own or someone else’s. DNA testing is also used to solve ancestry questions like those of Polynesians, Egyptians, Chinese, and Indians etc. DNA profiling enables experts to trace their ancestry and trace their family tree.
