The first T20I was declared a washout without a ball being bowled. The persistent rain forced the officials and players to vacate Dhamarsala
India left out wrist-spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav were left out of T20I squad. The bowling department was handed over to Washington Sundar, Krunal Pandya, Navdeep Saini, and Ravindra Jadeja.
Second T20I:
India swept South Africa by 7 wickets with 6 balls to spare. During the 17th over, skipper Virat Kohli easily flicked Rabada’s spell, boosting up India’s score to chase 150.
Bowlers Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Navdeep Saini claimed one wicket each from South Africa batsmen. Deepak Chahar’s 2 wicket grab finally collapsed the visitors and clinched India’s win in the match.
