(This is long, I’m halfway through studying this and mt nba 2k21 I am realizing nobody actually wants to see this shit, so skim through in the event that you would like to) I’ll start this off by stating this may not be a new idea or maybe its already been posted or said, but I’ve thought that MyCareer has needed something that would really make people want to perform with it for more than a week to receive badges and then just continuing to Park or The Rec. How about that they combine MyCareer with a little bit of MyGM? (Since they absolutely murdered MyGM, which I’m irrationally upset about.)
So you begin your MyCareer with these faculty matches, but you need yet another one of those rival gamers (Jackson Ellis type asshole) and you and your rival aren’t any wonder going to be the #1 and #2 choices, two of the best prospects because LeBron type hype. That is where it becomes different. There are two expansion teams being added into the league and also have the #1 and #2 picks. After your college games, you go through the Draft Combine and throughout the whole thing, these two expansion teams meet with you and by the answers you give themyou get to select which team drafts you.
One of the teams includes a”Win Today” type of personality owner and GM. Believe Daryl Morey Houston Rockets type of mindset. They will Trade draft picks and always try to make a run in the top free agent to try and move to the top. The other team has a”Build a Culture” kind character. More of a reconstruct team that appreciates wants to develop slower and picks. So you select your Pre Draft Interview answers to select which group you would like to get drafted by. Oh, good news, somehow the team who drafts you also has like the #7 pick or something like that and they want to know who you want to play.
Instead of simply picking a player in the list, you have to build your new teammate. This way you may have your Shaq to your Kobe, or your own Pippen to your MJ or whoever the hell you want to team up with. (Maybe not complete customization, people are too dumb for this, just the position and general play style of him) Now once you are drafted, and since you’re the bees knees, then you get HEAVY input on what the team does or that they trade for/sign/draft. More than what you have in 2K20.
By way of example instead of simply saying”Trade for Blake Griffin” then expecting to God they perform the trade a couple of days after, you get the MyGM commerce menu and you get to decide what/who to trade for the player you want. (And yes, your team will not only allow you to exchange your entire group for Tacko Fall, there’ll be a few sensible limitations on the trades and on how many attempts you receive.) Another instance, instead of realizing at the beginning of NBA 2K21 your beginning Center Rudy Gobert just got exchanged for broken down John Wall and wanting to throw the controller through the TV, the staff brings you in and asks you what you consider trade offers before they ruin the whole group for you. Maybe after you have increased your teammate chemistry just after year you you have to do things like that, for instance, free service process.
