How kind of Allah Almighty to let us earn the reward of Hajj by doing small acts of kindness instead of going on Hajj itself. Hajj is a religious duty that all Muslim men and women who are physically and financially able to do once in their lives must fulfil. If you cannot afford the Hajj, you can also book the luxury Cheap umrah flights. Our beloved Prophet (PBUH) only did one Hajj in his whole life. In this expensive time, when not everyone can afford to go to Hajj, there is a way to get the same reward as going to Hajj by doing small acts of kindness.

10 good deeds with reward like Hajj

Here are 10 good things you can do to get the reward of Hajj:

When it comes to doing the required prayers in a group, the messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Whoever walks to do a required prayer in a group is like doing Hajj, and whoever walks to do a voluntary prayer is like doing a voluntary Umrah.” Hazrat Abu Tharr RA said that a group of coworkers came to the Prophet PBUH and said, “O Allah’s messenger, the rich will get better grades and have pleasure forever, and they will pray and fast like us.” They have more money, which they use to help other people.” The Prophet PBUH answered, “Has Allah not made it so that the Isha prayer in a group is the same as Hajj and the Fajr prayer in a group is the same as Umrah?” With these Hadith, we can see that the reward for Isha prayer is the same as the reward for Hajj. Look at what a blessing it is that every Muslim can do the Hajj every day by praying in a group.

Zikr: Allah SWT loves it when people think about Him after the five prayers they say every day. Hazrat Abu Hurayrah said that once, a group of people who gave alms came to our beloved Prophet PBUH and said, “O Messenger of Allah, the wealthy will have higher ranks, and they will always enjoy themselves on high levels in paradise. They pray and fast like us, but they also do Hajj and Umrah, take part in Jihad, and give to charity.

The Prophet of Allah (PBUH) told them, “Shall I not tell you something that, if you did it, would put you on the same level as those who are ahead of you?” No one would be better than you, and you would be better than the people you live with, except for people who did the same things as you. Say Subhan Allah, Alhamdulillah, and Allahu Akbar 33 times after each time you pray.

Performing Umrah in Ramadan

Hazrat Muhammad SAW said, “When the month of Ramadan comes, go do Umrah, because Umrah in Ramadan is like going with me to Hajj.” If we do Umrah in the holiest month of Ramadan, we can get a reward that is the same as Hajj. Umrah is the smaller pilgrimage, and Ramadan is the month when Allah SWT gave us the Quran to help us all. So you can imagine how much Allah loves people who do good things in the holiest month. Every Muslim wants to visit the house of Allah at least once in their lifetime, but if they can’t, Ramadan is a great time to do Umrah, which is the same as hajj.

Being good to your parents is a gift from Allah that can’t be replaced by anything else in the universe. They give up a lot to bring up their kids. Prophet SAW said, “The best thing you can do is pray at the right time and be kind to your parents.” Hazrat Annas RA said that a man came to Muhammad SAW and said, “I want to join Jihad, but I can’t afford it.” When Allah’s Messenger asked if any of his parents were still alive, he said, “My mother is still alive.” “Show Allah how you serve her,” he told him. If you do that, you’ll be like a pilgrim, a fighter, or a mujahid.”

Giving up the things that are against the law is also more honourable than nawafil, Hajj, etc. Fudhail ibn ‘Iyadh RA said that there is no more important Hajj or Jihad than keeping one’s tongue from sinning.

The Fajr prayer is said with the congregation, and everyone stays seated until after sunrise. The messenger of Allah said, “He who prays Fajr prayer with the congregation and stays seated in the same place while reciting Zikr until after sunrise and then prays two rakah nawafils (Ishraq) will get the reward of one Hajj and one Umrah.” Abdullah bin Amir said that Allah’s messenger said, “Whoever prays Fajr in a group and then sits until he prays Dhuha for Allah SWT will be rewarded as if he had done Hajj and Mutamir.”

The reward of Hajj is the same as saying “Subhan Allah” 100 times in the morning and evening. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “Someone who says “Subhan Allah” 100 times in the morning and evening is like someone who has done Hajj 100 times.” We can get the big reward of Hajj if we do this small act of worship every day, so make it a daily habit.

Going to the masjid to teach and learn is the same as doing Hajj. Abu Umamah Al-Bahili RA said that the Prophet PBUH said, “Whoever goes to the mosque with no other goal than to teach or learn what is good will get the reward of having done Hajj.”

You get the reward of Hajj if you pray on Friday, so never miss your Friday prayer. Sa’id bin al-Musayyib (RA) once said, “The Friday prayer is more important to me than an extra Hajj.”

When you meet the needs of your brothers and sisters or help them when they are in trouble, you also get the same reward as when you go on Hajj. Hazrat Hassan al Basri RA told them, “Your plan to help a fellow Muslim is better for you than going on Hajj after Hajj.”

Keep in mind that all of these good deeds give the same reward as hajj, but that doesn’t mean that people who have to do hajj can just do these good deeds instead. These good deeds only give rewards. Allah puts Hajj fifth on the list of the five pillars of Islam, which shows how important it is.

Imam Tirmidhi RA said that this reward should be understood in light of the hadith that says Surah Ikhlaas is equal to one-third of the Quran. The person who says it will get the reward for reciting a third of the Quran, but since he didn’t do it physically, the reward won’t be increased.
